Yes, 100% real American hardwood. We use no veneer on our products.
We use rift, quarter & live-sawn white oak hardwood, which has been locally sourced from specialty wood shops!
We sure can! Every item is made to order & we can customize to the 1/8" inch on the dimensions of your piece.
For custom dimensions, please add the measurements in the "Notes" section when adding the item to your cart.
If you don't see your dimension, round to the nearest number to purchase the custom sizes. (example: 54" length would need to purchase a 60" length).
Installation is easy, using a French Cleat system. One cleat is built into the back of the mantel & we send another to fasten to your wall.
Your mantel will come with install instructions. You'll only need a few screws, specific to your wall type, for installation (i.e. wood, brick, sheetrock anchors, etc.).
Yes, similar to a box beam.
We have an internal structure inside the mantel for strength but upon request we can build the mantel completely hollow (aka slip mantel).
Absolutely, we call this a slip mantel & can accommodate this request!
Just add "slip mantel" in the notes section when adding the mantel to your cart.
Generally our mantels have little to no character (ie. knotting or color variations). We aim for clean, consistent grain patterns with minimal color variation.
If you want, we can choose wood with more character and knotting! Just add that to the notes when adding the mantel to your cart.
We use real hardwood, which is inherent. Each piece has a story, so color, grain pattern & knotting will vary, but we do select the best available boards for each order!

Each order is handmade & will be built in our shop before we ship out via UPS Ground.
